Liquid coconut oil

by Melanie

I sent my husband for groceries yesterday and he came home with LIQUID coconut oil.

I had never heard of such a thing. It stays liquid even in the fridge.

I immediately set about trying to find some information on the processing involved and the nutritional value of this oil.

I can't find anything at all on the internet.

Do you know anything about it? Should we be eating it? Below is a link to the product information. I don't expect you to make judgements about products if you don't feel comfortable doing that. I just thought the link might clarify what I am referring to.

Hi Melanie

From my understanding, the difference is the higher content of MCT's or Medium Chain Triglycerides.

Coconut Oil contains 62% MCT and this oil contains 93%.

From Dr. Bruce Fife-Coconut Oil Research Center, MCT oil contains less Lauric Acid (beneficial viral lowering agent) than that of Coconut Oil.

It's actually nice to have both in your arsenal.

I hope this answered your question.

In good health
Misty

That was just the kind of information I was looking for.
