I might have missed it or over read it, but what is your thought on Legumes?

I know they have carbs, just curious about your take on them...

Hi Stephanie

Legumes have been included in the Phase II plan. They do contain carbohydrate but this we consider a "resistant starch" that does not spike blood sugar as quickly as grains.

Legumes can be valuable in a diet if you have healthy digestion.

If one suffers from gut permeability issues, legumes are not a good choice as the lectins can cause further damage to tissue.

In good health!
