Green Bean & Bacon Sautee
- 1/2 lb. of fresh green beans
- 6-8 strips of bacon
- 2 tablespoons of minced shallots
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Cut bacon into small pieces and place in medium saucepan. Allow bacon to begin cooking while you prepare the green beans by washing them and cutting the tips off. Once bacon is partially cooked, add the shallots.
Sautee for about one minute and add green beans to pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and let green beans cook until they have reached desired texture.
You can also add butter if you desire. I had enough bacon grease in the pan and did not find a need to do so.
