Feeling better already

Thank you so much for making this information available!

I am 33 and I've been obese since I left 'home' at 17. I have dieted successfully but then re-gained the weight, and some, which put me off dieting.

I then joined a 12 step programme for food addiction and had years of therapy.

While I recovered massively emotionally and spiritually, physically nothing changed - I just couldn't fight off those cravings.

I recently decided it was time to get rid of the weight - it's killing me!

I was searching for a good way to do it online and found your site. What you said sat so well with my experience of food!

I have previously cut out sugar for months at a time but the cravings have never gone so to cut carbs out too made perfect sense.

So, I followed what you said and within days I stopped experiencing cravings, possibly for the first time ever!

A week on and I have already lost around 6lb!

My Mum died when I was 7 but I'm feeling the love of a mum from you.

Thank you so much!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for writing me.

I know the suffering of food addiction so this site has been put together with others in mind. I finally realized that "everything in moderation" just does not work for the food addict just as it does not bode well with the alcohol and the alcoholic.

We must find what works for us and I find that by restricting my carbohydrate, I don't feed the addiction.

Your last comment about your mum not only touched me, it brought tears to my eyes. I have my own Angela who will be 30 this year so you can imagine just how touching this was to me.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far! I look forward to hearing about your future losses.

In good health sweet girl and do ask questions any time.
