This is a spin off from one of my favorite summer salads. It definitely tastes as luscious as the photo shows.
The Caprese Burger is excellent served from the summer barbeque or the winter indoor griddle.
Add ghee/bacon grease to skillet and heat to medium-high. Add onion and saute until browned, set aside.
Form 2 patties and cook on medium-high in same skillet for approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium rare patty. (longer if no pink is desired in center) Remove from heat.
Top with tomato slices, cheese, basil leaves, onions and garlic cloves.
