I have blended now every morning for the last 8 years and I can honestly tell you that when I don't have my breakfast smoothie, I feel it! It energizes and nourishes for the entire day!

My Green Breakfast Smoothie Recipes

perfect for Phase II:

Serves 2 to 4This many times serves as breakfast and lunch for me.

  • 1 Cup Full Fat Plain Yogurt or Coconut Milk
  • 2 Scoops Whey Protein Powder
  • 3/4-1 Cup Water
  • 6 Brazil Nuts
  • 6 Cups Leafy Greens, Chard, Spinach, Spring Mix, Collard
  • 3/4 Cup Frozen Blueberries
  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Peaches
  • 4 Tbs. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 Tsp. Kelp Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Maca Root
  • 1 Tbs. Raw Vitamin C Powder
  • 4 grams MSM Powder
  • 5000-8000IU Vitamin D3 Drops
  • 2 Tbs. Lemon or Orange Flavored Cod Liver Oil

If you have a household blender, I recommend you put nuts and seeds in first and begin to blend. Slowly add remaining ingredients. I use a Vitamix which makes everything blend so nicely. Many of my clients who have used household blenders find it is a bit chunky but they work with it.

This is a huge drink and lasts me the entire day. I personally eat twice daily and this is one of my meal options 5 to 6 days per week.

I utilize kelp for iodine and thyroid health. My thyroid is healthy and I would like to keep it that way. If you have thyroid issues, consult your physician as those with Hashimoto Thyroiditis may react negatively to an iodine supplement particularly in the absence of selenium.

Beginner Green Smoothie Recipe

If my breakfast smoothie recipe above looks a bit harsh for your palate, the following recipe will ease you into the smoothie club. This recipe will serve one person.

  • 1/2 Cup Full Fat Plain Yogurt or Almond Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 Scoop Whey Protein Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 2 Brazil Nuts
  • 1 Tbs. Pumpkin Seeds or Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 Tbs. Flax Seeds or Chia Seeds
  • 1-2 Cups Baby Spring Mix, Romaine, Spinach
  • 1 Tbs. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

You can omit the seeds if you don't utilize them in your healthy diet plan.

Blend and enjoy


Breakfast Smoothie Recipes For Children

Let's ease the kids into this slowly. You know as well as I do that if the children see anything green, they run for the hills. My suggestion for children includes a higher berry content which will keep their blood sugar stable as well as mask any vegetable flavor. Blend this to your child's taste buds. This recipe will serve two.

  • 1/2 Cup Full Fat Yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, Raw or Plain Milk
  • 1 Scoop Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 Cup Spinach
  • 2 Brazil Nuts
  • 6-10 Frozen Strawberries
  • 1/2 *Banana

Blend and Enjoy

*Bananas are not a good weight loss fruit so if you are working on weight loss for your children, do be careful with the Banana.

If the kids don't have a peanut allergy, 1-2 tbs. of peanut butter will mask anything!


Egg Creme Breakfast Smoothie Recipes

Looking for a breakfast smoothie with raw eggs? I just felt you crinkle your nose! It isn't as slimy as it sounds and one does not need an iron stomach to consume it. There's a whole wave of what some are referring to as the "Egg Creme". I do not advise you use conventional eggs for this. If you are going to blend raw eggs, you will need to use fresh, organic eggs. The food borne illness salmonella is found on the shell and not the egg itself.

Smoothie Recipe for Egg Creme:

  • 2-3 Fresh, Organic Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream, Coconut Milk or Raw Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Frozen Strawberries, Raspberries or Canned Pumpkin
  • 1/8 tsp. Stevia or 1/2 packet Truvia

The Magic Bullet is the best kitchen gadget for this one.


Dairy Free Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond or Hemp Milk
  • 2 Tbs. Flax Seeds
  • 1 Tbs. Sunflower Seeds-Raw
  • (sprouted elevates nutrition)
  • 1 Tbs. Pumpkin Seeds-Raw
  • 2 Brazil Nuts
  • 1 Scoop Chia Seeds
  • 1 Tsp. Spirulina Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries or Strawberries

You can throw a handful of spinach in if you so desire

Easy Whey Protein Breakfast Smoothie Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Raw Milk, Kefir or Coconut Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Frozen Raspberries
  • 1 Scoop Whey Protein Powder

Directions:

Add wet ingredients to a magic bullet or blender, add protein powder and blend.

This is a great blend and go shake if you're in a hurry, post work out, or a great after school snack the kids will love!

After reviewing several different whey protein powders, I have had favorites and they generally include whey from Grassfed Cows not treated with hormones or antibiotics as well, micro filtered. There is a lot of junk on the market and remember your healthy food rules regarding high heat processing of dairy! Oxidized cholesterol is dangerous cholesterol.

This is such a decadent and filling treat and can be used as a meal replacement. It's perfect for the summertime!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Full Fat Plain Yogurt
  • 5 Coconut Milk Ice Cubes
  • (I use the Thai brand in the can)
  • 1 Scoop Whey Protein Powder
  • (vanilla or plain)
  • 3 or 4 Frozen Berries
  • (strawberries or raspberries)
  • 1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder
  • Stevia To Taste
  • (I use NuNaturals Pure White Stevia Extract Powder)
  • 3/4 Cup Water

Blend and enjoy.

This is very thick and the coconut ice cubes make it so rich, smooth and creamy.
