best time to take calcium

by Dayle

Dear Misty, does calcium block the absorption of vitamin supplements if I take them together at meal time. If so what is the best way/time to take a calcium supplement?

Thank you for the amazing information on your web site. I have been following your plan 1 diet for two weeks, I love it and can hardly believe how different I feel. I am more satisfied than ever before, and have less joint pain and more freedom of movement than I have for years! And I continue to loose weight!

Seven down and many to go.

Hi Dayle!
Congratulations on your 7# loss! I'm so excited for you and the fact that you're receiving multiple benefit is of course more satisfying than anything. Just proof that the raw materials we put into our body has a profound effect on how we look and feel.

Calcium can compete with other nutrients so that's the reason for the evening dosage.

I don't personally take calcium rather make sure I'm getting plenty in my food supply. You might consider this option as too much calcium can lead to issues of the heart and kidney.

A good bone broth, plenty of leafy greens and other vegetables carry a great deal of calcium. Making sure your magnesium is in order as well, your Vitamin D is more crucial than taking a calcium supp.

I hope this has been helpful and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading.

In good health
